Van Do


SNAP- Ed Extension Agent, Family and Consumer Sciences Food, Nutrition & Health


Van Do serves as the FCS, SNAP-Ed Extension Agent for Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax, and Loudoun counties. She is housed in the Alexandria Extension office. As a SNAP-Ed Agent, Van recruits, trains, and manages volunteers to deliver research based nutrition curricula to limited income youth and families.  She often works in collaboration with school teachers, school nurses, school Food and Nutrition Services staff, and Parks and Recreation staff.  The programs offered teach families and youth how to buy and prepare healthy, affordable meals.



Van is a 2015 graduate of Virginia Tech where she studied Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise as well as Psychology.  As an undergraduate student, Van completed a summer internship with the Arlington County Cooperative Extension unit.
